If you filed a joint extension and will be filing a joint return and used either the primary or the spouses taxpayer's SSN, both are covered under the same extension — even if their name was not explicitly listed. Again, this is assuming you will be filing a joint tax return.
If you filed Married Filing Separately and did not file a separate extension for your spouse, they would need to file their own extension.
