Modified on Sun, 21 Jan at 7:51 PM

You can file multiple state tax extensions with no additional cost when filing a state extension along with an eFiled federal extension.

Follow the steps below to file multiple state extensions:

  • Choose the State Extension option on the checkout page and complete your checkout.
  • Choose the first state extension via the drop down, answer the questions and advance screens until completed.
  • Once completed, click on "Check Status" for your state extension (see below).
  • Be sure to print and save each state extension prior to editing and creating the next state extension.
  •  Click “Prepare Additional States” button in the lower right corner (see below).
  • Open up (edit) the State Extension file and select the next state extension you would like to file.
  • Go through the steps to prepare as many state extensions as you need, at no additional cost.  Save each state extension prior to completing the next state extension.
