You can fill out and mail IRS Form 7004 (Application for Automatic Extension of Time To File Certain Business Income Tax, Information, and Other Returns) by the original filing deadline, March 15, 2023. If the IRS accepts the extension, you'll have until September 15, 2023 to file your tax return.
*Note: If mailing your business extension form (7004) to the IRS, be aware that you won't receive notification from the IRS that your extension was received, accepted or rejected until well after the deadline. In this case, there is no time to correct and resubmit your extension.
