If you are NOT planning to make a state extension payment, NO FURTHER ACTION IS REQUIRED on your part.

* Alaska grants you an automatic 7-month extension provided you have obtained an approved IRS extension.
* The extension is NOT an extension to pay any taxes you may have due.
* 100% of the outstanding tax liability must be paid by the original due date to avoid penalties.
* Attach a copy of your federal extension to your Alaska return and check the box on the front page of the return.
